Year 7 Session Overview
New FREE Road Safety – Road Sense ‘Still a distraction’.
This is an interactive session with a supporting video which include actors of secondary school age. The session covers students’ safety when traveling around the roads, this includes distractions like mobile phones and groups of friends.
This session discusses risks, distractions, causes and increases knowledge and understanding on how important it is to use all our senses to be safer around roads. The objectives of the session support the students’ safety awareness when traveling around the roads now they are becoming more independent. We do not use scare tactics only a positive and reinforcement of student’s common sense.

Year 9 Session Overview

This is an interactive session with supporting videos and a KCC Road Safety Officer. The session covers students’ safety when traveling around the roads, this includes distractions, hazard perception, mobile phones, and groups of friends.
This session discusses risk-taking, distractions, hazard perception, causes and increases knowledge and understanding on how important it is to use all our senses to be safer around roads. The objectives of the session support the student’s safety awareness when traveling around and crossing the roads. We do not use scare tactics only a positive and reinforcement of student’s common sense.
